We turned a whole SIX months old this week! Can you believe it? The babies are starting to sit on their own for several seconds before falling over and mama catching them. We started rice cereal yesterday and it is just a matter of time before we're crawling! Quincy and Adelyn will now hold their bottles for the most part(I thought this day would never come)-they do fall over and they drop them but the last several days they are learning and getting better. Quincy is the best because he's got huge hands! Quincy still wants to eat every 2 hours and Ellie is starting to follow his lead :( Adelyn will go the usual 3 hours though. They are all still sleeping through the night and have since about 13 weeks or so. The last feeding is at 8 or 9 and they get up at around 6 or 7. That was and is hard work but its paying off since we get our sleep! Yea! I'm still pumping for the girls (literally-I'm pumping right now, and eating lunch AND blogging) and have enough even though they're eating about 5 ounces every feeding. Ocassionally I'll go to the gold mine in the basement and get a frozen bag out of the freezer if I don't have enough time to spare to pump before the next feeding.
Christmas was wonderful. It is always great to spend time with our families. We went to Kentucky this year (we trade off every year, IL and KY) and it was a long drive but not as bad as it could have been. Our babies are really well behaved, really! We're really lucky. They're pretty easy going. We did have to stop but we planned on doing that anyway. We met a friend of ours who we went to medical school with and we got to meet her twin two year old girls and her new baby girl only two weeks younger than ours. They played, we fed and changed and got back on the road...Ellie has woke up...hungry probably...this blog will have to wait (story of my life! lol!).
