6 months old!

We turned a whole SIX months old this week! Can you believe it? The babies are starting to sit on their own for several seconds before falling over and mama catching them. We started rice cereal yesterday and it is just a matter of time before we're crawling! Quincy and Adelyn will now hold their bottles for the most part(I thought this day would never come)-they do fall over and they drop them but the last several days they are learning and getting better. Quincy is the best because he's got huge hands! Quincy still wants to eat every 2 hours and Ellie is starting to follow his lead :( Adelyn will go the usual 3 hours though. They are all still sleeping through the night and have since about 13 weeks or so. The last feeding is at 8 or 9 and they get up at around 6 or 7. That was and is hard work but its paying off since we get our sleep! Yea! I'm still pumping for the girls (literally-I'm pumping right now, and eating lunch AND blogging) and have enough even ...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you for checking our blog and I'm sorry I haven't posted in several weeks! Its been a zoo around here with traveling for interviews, Christmas and so much more. We're all well though thank God and looking forward to the babies very first Christmas! I seriously am so excited for this whole season this year and its just much brighter! That being said, please remember to pray for those who are grieving this year for a lost loved one or because of infertility. Thank you again to our faithful friends and bloggies (buddies+bloggers-I just made that term up)! Love, Clint, Rachel, Adelyln, Ellie, Quincy and Caleigh

Quincy's reflux

He's had it since day one. I took him in last week for a upper GI barium swallow exam. There were a total of 5 medical professionals (techs, docs, ect) in the room and after the first swallow and watching the screen they all said aloud and almost in unison "WOW! He DOES have really bad reflux!" Thanks, I knew that! :) It was bad too. On the screen you can see the barium being swallowed and it immediatly comes shooting back up. We've tried EVERY type of formula after we switched him off breastmilk at 3.5 months. He's 5 months now. He been on three different reflux medicines. He is SO extremely fussy ALL. THE. TIME. he has his "moments" where is a complete doll, cooing and smiling and just wonderful but he will scream every day for hours and hours on end. We've tried gripe water, baby massage, more food, less food, food more often (but NOT less often as he screams even more), baby wearing/playing/holding, different positions, rice cereal with formu...

The triplets want to go to college!

Several people have asked if there is anything that the triplets need for Christmas this year. In terms of "things," we're really in good shape. We could always use some help here or there, but in terms of ideas for Christmas gifts, we recommend our college funds. Links to donate to the triplet's college funds are now up on the blog. Thank you to those who have already given and those who wish to contribute.

5 months old!

Moms of Multiples Are Freaks of Nature

Got this youtube video link from another triplet mom through the SouthEastern Wisconsin Moms of Triplets (and more) group "SEWMOT". Its pretty much what happens to me EVERY DAY. Sometimes its funny (I laugh to myself inside of course), other times just plain annoying...mostly the "natural" question just because its so personal but no one realized it for some reason. Um, you're a stranger, I don't know you from Adam and you're asking me if I'm infertile? Wow. Also I LOVE the "at least your not octomom" and "at least you didn't have quads" comments. Seriously people are so funny sometimes. Some other favorites, and believe me you would will understand this video if you are a mom of multiples (M.O.M.) because you get asked these very questions by the same person in this order ALL. THE. TIME. As I end the conversation (because it ends up takine 5 minutes and they're still starring as I turn around and push my stroller aw...

One year ago tomorrow

Was our FET! I can hardly believe it! One year ago we were praying and crossing our fingers just hoping for a great transfer, and a positive pregnancy test/bloodwork 10 days later...we were hoping for ONE baby...what we got was triple the blessing with THREE! ha. Who says God doesn't surprise you and have a sense of humor? I get chills thinking about our journey and it just makes me laugh looking back (although I WAS NOT laughing at the time). Its just funny to me how we have no idea what the plan for our life is and them in a matter of moments (it only is suppose to take 15 minutes for a FET) it can ALL change-for us in a very bigt way! I just want to encourage those still facing the journey and say we don't know what will happen-if the end of the journey will bring a baby or not-but I've learned through it all life isn't about the end result all the time, its about the waiting and finding God in the midst of the mess and suffering-all for his glory. I said tha...

Never Grow Up

A HUGE thank you to Angie B. for helping me (okay, who am I kidding, she did ALL the work) upload "Never Grow Up" by Taylor Swift! Isn't it the most perfect song ever? Makes me cry! BTW FYI Angie is my helper and don't know what I'd do without her! Thanks also to mom for helping this weekend and last night too as Clint was out of town this week. He's home tonight thank goodness! One more thing...our heat went out today and its suppose to get pretty cold tonight. The repair people are coming tomorrow and that's the fastest they could schedule me. I was like "seriously? Would it make a difference if I told you my husband is out of town and I'm alone caring for my triplets?" lol. They said "sorry. Do you have a space heater?" Thanks a lot. Haha. It all good though. We can't freeze to death. We have blankets and swaddles. Right now I have hats on them all. I will have to post pictures later. Pretty funny (wasn't too...

Rock Paper Scissors! How cute are these triplet shirts!?

Thank you Hoffman family for the adorable and super funny triplet shirts! We love them!

Just looking back

on some old old blog posts and photos. First at July...the babies were SO tiny and sickly looking! Cute, but scrawny little ones. It makes me sad and happy all at the same time to see how big they have become and how far we've come. They are troopers, survivers for sure! Also looked at the very bottom of the blog again. Haven't done that in awhile. Can you believe its been nearly one year, ONE YEAR, since our frozen embryo transfer where we transfered TWO little adopted babies?! I saw the "triplets first photograph" photo and my heart got all fluttery. Those little dots, smaller than an eraser head of a pencil at the time are now our children, the adorable, smiling babies we hold every day. Miracles. They are miracles. What a journey it has been. I know what its like to loose faith that you'll never become pregnant. Then to loose two embryos. Then to have two again to use and thinking even DURING the procedure that it wasn't going to work becaus...

We'll be FOUR months old this week (October 27th)

Look at how much we've grown since mid-august (1 1/2 months old)!

I can't help it!!!

I just LOVE taking pictures of the babies! The photos of the girls with the flowers I planned on taking but sometimes I don't even mean to start a shoot...like today. BUT the girls were so cute in their matching outfits and Quincy in his big boy shirt huh, what can I say? I started snapping away and couldn't stop. I think I have a problem lol. Addiction to my camera? Or babies? BOTH. I admit it at least. Its so much fun!!! There's so much I could say but I'm blank right now (probably because its almost midnight and I need to go to bed since we fed the babies around 830). They should go until 6 or so but I need my zzz's too. Nite blogger friends!
